Here is a slideshow of all my photographs in the style of Slinkachu. I enjoyed re-creating and working in the style of Slinkachus. i enjoyed conducting research about Slinkachu and using a wide variety of effects to capture similar images.
He could also be described as a miniaturist. He modifies tiny human figurines from model train sets and places them in real urban situations, capturing them sight-seeing, camping, grocery shopping, fighting and dying. A tiny man in a suit holds a spent life-sized matchstick and gazes at his now scorched car . A miniature man holding a rifle, who has seemingly just shot a life-sized bee, says to his crouching daughter, "They're not pets, Susan."
My first take of Slinkachus style of work. We used little people to recreate slinkachus work and we used blue tack to hold the little people in place. I placed the people in unusual places like on the astroturf. Also, I placed the miniature people on life size things like the school benches and bins to get a different effect. I also used small thing like a toy car and paper boat.
This is the first time i used the shutter speeds and f/stops
This is my second attempt at re-creating Slinkachu's work. I used a fast shutter speed and I used a focus spot on the couple to make them clear and highlight them as the main focus for the photograph.
These are my final pieces and my favourite examples of my interpretation of Slinkachu's work. I used the astro turf at school as my setting and positioned a toy car in the background. I placed a flower on the roof of the car and added the miniature couple at the centre of the picture. I used a fast shutter speed to keep the miniature couple in focus. The background is blurred which focuses the observers attention on the couple. This is my favourite attempt at re-creating Slinkachu's work.
